About this vintage design furniture
Beautiful desk from the french designer Jean Claude Mahey. This desk is edited in the middle of the 1970s and is entirely made of lacquered wood and finished in brass. Indeed, the top is decorated with a brass "marquetry" and the handles are also in brass. The contrast of lacquered wood and brass is a characteristic of Jean Claude Mahey's work. This desk is of superior quality and typically describes the elegance of French furniture from the 1970s-1980s, as did the house of Romeo or the house of Jansen. It has 3 drawers in the waist that uncover a light wood still making a very nice contrast with the exterior. The lacquer is in very good condition on the black. Minimal and normal use marks. A very slight mark on the brass on the back of the black desk.Reference : 181569
