About this vintage design furniture
A hand-made glass platter or fruit bowl designed by Jozef Hospodka for Chribska Sklarna in the mid-1960s. Crystal glass, hand-formed, colored in cobalt mass with transparent elements. A beautiful organic design with an interesting original shape, a classic of Czechoslovakian organic design. Item in good condition, bowl has a small chip in the base and damage to the crown. The defect is visible in the photos. On the base there is the signature "Egermann". About the designer
Josef HOSPODKA
Josef Michal Hospodka was a Czech designer who was born in 1923 and died in 1989. He studied at the School of Applied Arts in Prague, where he began working as a teacher after graduating.
