About this vintage design furniture

This late Art Nouveau early Art Deco dressing table is attributed to Maurice Dufrene for La Maitrise des Galeries Lafayette in Paris in the early 1920s. The dressing table is entirely veneered with various types of wood, such as amaranth, rosewood and sycamore, the top, the drawer and the mirror inlaid with geometric and floral motifs. A superb work of marquetry and cabinet making. This unique dressing table has been entirely restored and re-varnished, and is in very good condition. The height of the top is 76 cm and the total height including the mirror is 139 cm. - 54.7 inches. A similar dressing table by Maurice Dufrene is on display at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
