About this vintage design furniture
Majestic sideboard of the British label Gplan from E Gomme Ltd, belonging to its Fresco range. Piece designed in 1966 by Victor Bramwell Wilkins, who sought to combine teak wood (which used the Scandinavian style) together with the pop-art forms (popular in the ceramics of the 60s) and the sculpted appearance of the furniture that came from Italy. The front consists of four central drawers (the upper one has removable partitions for cutlery). On both sides a large double-door wardrobe (45cm high x 80cm long) divided by a height-adjustable shelf. The body stands on a frame of turned legs joined by an arched crossbar (unmistakable design of the brand).
