Luigi MANDRUZZATO

In the 1950s, Mandruzzato founded his own glass-blowing company, called Mandruzzato Vetri d'Arte, and began creating unique designer glass pieces. His creations were noted for their exceptional artistic quality, craftsmanship and innovation.

Mandruzzato's most famous creations are his optical glass sculptures, notably the "Aldo" series, geometric works of art in optical glass that have been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world. These pieces were considered outstanding examples of the mastery of glassblowing and the use of optical glass.

Mandruzzato won several awards for his creations, including the Gold Medal at the Florence International Exhibition in 1951 and the Silver Medal at the Brussels International Exhibition in 1958.

Luigi Mandruzzato left an important legacy in the field of Italian art glass and industrial design, helping to make Murano's craftsmanship known throughout the world and evolve towards a more contemporary style.
