About this vintage design furniture
Important stoneware vase from Rambervillers signed Alphonse Cytere. early 20th century. Alphonse Cytère, born in Tauves (Puy-de-Dôme) on 12 August 1861 and died in Rambervillers (Vosges) in 1941, was a French ceramic engineer linked to the École de Nancy. He developed a new technique for transforming a glaze with metallic reflections that made the "Rambervillers flamed stoneware" famous.
