About this vintage design furniture
Large and labelled Murano "Sommerso" glass vase by Alessandro Mandruzzato - Italy, 1960s. "Sommerso" is a technique developed in Murano in the 1930s which was very popular in the 1950s and 1960s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is cased by a clear layer. Colours: red, yellow and clear. Original label still intact (see pictures) - the label can be easily removed if wanted. Dimensions: height: 22.5 cm; width: 5 cm; depth: 5 cm. Excellent vintage condition.

About the designer
Flavio POLI
Flavio Poli (1900-1984) was a renowned Italian designer, known for his work in glass. Born in Chioggia, near Venice, Poli studied at the Institute of Applied Arts in Venice, where he developed a passion for blown glass.
