Mid Century Armchair Danish Style A pair of Hans Wegener style armchairs from the mid 20th century. Hans Wegner’s ’The Chair’ was designed in 1949, is a classic example of traditional craftsmanship. It shot to fame in 1961 when it was used in a televised debate between presidential candidates Nixon and Kennedy. (often referred to as the "Kennedy" chair). Very comfortable, the backrest will support your back better than most. Beech frames with black vinyl seats. Sold as a pair Dimensions (cm): 59 W x 74 H x 51 D. (42 seat height). Condition: Overall good, showing some signs of use and patina. Blemish to the vinyl on one of the chairs. Structurally sound.
