About this vintage design furniture
A favourite of ours and certainly a favourite or Architects who liked to dress their projects with these chairs for photo shoots in the 50’s and 60’s. A design classic from 1947 this design used revolutionary production techniques to achieve a chair that was both very comfortable and wonderfully minimal, especially when viewed in profile. Produced from layered ply Beech and Teak with the legs featuring a Mahogany core. This example offered in great condition.

About the designer
Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD NIELSEN
Hvidt & Mølgaard Nielsen is a mid-20th-century Danish design duo consisting of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen. Peter Hvidt was born in Copenhagen in 1916 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before working as a designer for various companies. Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before working as an architect and designer.
