About this vintage design furniture
Rare and beautiful Scandinavian teak credenza model UM 14 by Uldum Møbelfabrik designed by Johannes Andersen. This particular model is an early sixties credenza expressing superb woodworking craftmanship. Coming through very organically typical for Johannes Andersen on a curved base and solid teak grips that seem to flow out of the drawers. Bottom half of the cabinet has six drawers, of which four are shallow and two are deep. All drawer internals are made of solid hard wood and very robust. The upper middle section houses the mirror backed bar with glass shelves and pull out section to allow for preparing your favourite drinks. Right from the bar section there are two drawers suitable for storing your scotch glasses. Below the bar section there is plenty of storage space and another 3 height adjustable shelves are behind the sliding doors on the far left and far right of the cabinet. This stylish vintage sideboard is still in very good vintage condition. To keep the chest original we chose not to renew the felt on some of the drawers although it could use an upgrade. The wood on the interior and the exterior show minimal signs of use and age.
