About this vintage design furniture
Large coat rack designed by Coen de Vries for DEVO in 1956. This is the first original large edition with a round tubular metal frame. The coat rack has retained all the original hooks laminated in yellow and red. Beautiful minimalist piece of Dutch design. It is in good condition, with patina on the frame from use and age.

About the designer
Coen de VRIES and Tjerk REIJENGA
Coen de Vries was a renowned Dutch designer, known for his innovative work in industrial design. He was born on October 8, 1918 in Groningen, the Netherlands, and grew up in a creative family. De Vries studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam, where he developed his skills as a designer.
