About this vintage design furniture
Pair of iconic Tatra loungers, model 24-23, Czechoslovakia, 1960s. Designed by Frantisek Jirák for Tatra Nabytok. This Central European design classic really stands out with its inspired curved wooden armrests. The Czechoslovak producers are masters of this technique, which has enabled Thonet & Hoffman to continue its pioneering work in this field. Overall, the ensemble is in fairly good condition, with slight wear and tear to the original fabric and less reddening than at the time. However, no cuts. One armrest has a small chipped wood stitch.
