Jacober (Aldo)

Aldo JACOBER

Jacober began his career as an industrial designer in the 1950s. He worked for several Italian companies, including Olivetti, where he designed typewriters and calculators. During the 1960s and 1970s, he worked as a freelance designer for companies such as Artemide, Gavina and Zanotta.

Jacober is known for his molded plastic furniture designs, which were both innovative and functional. He has also designed lighting fixtures, desk accessories and interior design objects. His work has been featured in international design exhibitions and is part of the permanent collections of museums such as MoMA in New York.

Jacober has won numerous awards for his design work, including the prestigious Compasso d'Oro in 1964, 1967, 1970 and 1979. He has also taught industrial design at Venice's IUAV University and Milan's Politecnico.
