About this vintage design furniture
The iconic "Royal System" was designed in 1948 by legendary Danish designer and manufacturer Poul Cadovius, and was one of the world’s first wall-mounted furniture systems. This particular modular arrangement comprises four teak uprights, allowing a classic three bay setup, the positioning of the boxes and shelves is endlessly customisable, as the teak uprights have a hole drilled every 4.5cm along the entire length. The drop front bar unit has a red leather pad on the inside and is locked with the original key. It is in terrific original condition and has been obviously well looked after in the past. The tops of the three units (along the base in these photos) are clean with some very slight fading and small scratches but almost too insignificant to photograph. One of the shelves has some faint water rings, and shadow marks from long standing ornaments. One of the glass doors has a chipped corner although most of the chip is hidden by the recess in which the door slides.
