About this vintage design furniture
A beautiful side table with a magazine shelf, designed by Cesare Lacca and made in Italy around 1950.This stunning piece is made of high quality wood in a warm dark brown color. The frame of the piece is very well done with curved and organic shapes. It has a wooden frame and a clear glass top. Below it is a magazine shelf with straighter shapes, which contrasts nicely with the curved legs and combines very well. It is also made of glass and has an extra glass plate in the middle to separate the two halves. On the other side of the magazine tray, there is a metal stand. Together these combinations of shapes and materials show that this piece is very well designed by one of the most iconic Italian designers of the mid-century The piece remains in very good, original condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
