About this vintage design furniture
The very well known 3017 butterfly chair by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen. Designed in 1955 and still in production and going strong However, like with most design pieces, older versions are more collectable than young pieces. These ones, produced in 1985, are from the second generation. The second generation is recognizable by the plastic hub caps and their inscription, below the chair. What makes this chairs quite unique is that 3 pieces are equipped with armrest, which makes them quite rare. The chairs feature a chrome base and beech wood shell. All markings present. The chairs are in good vintage condition with some nice patina visible on the shells. The chrome frames still look very good and the frame caps are still in nice condition as well. The gliders are in reasonable state and some have repaired in the past.
