Vintage glass and chrome coffee table, 1970

Large vintage chrome metal coffee table with smoked glass top. The table is originally from Germany. The pure, simple and elegant design typical of the 70s as well as the materials used, are not without reminding the lines of designers such as sprunger, bredhol or hesterberg. The foot has four branches in the shape of a bow or a sheaf. It is in very good original condition, it has simply been gently cleaned to preserve its patina of time. Some slight marks and traces of use and time at the level of the screws, but no rust or other. There are glides present under the base. The top is made of tempered glass in a smoked color (the exact reference of this color for tempered glass is called bronze), it has grey reflections, or light brown depending on the light and the angle of vision. The tray is a little less than a meter in diameter and is 6 mm thick. Its size would allow it to be a central piece and to be enthroned in the middle of one or two sofas or lounge chairs. There are once again some traces of use and time on the tray and edge that I dare not even call scratches so the 2 present are tiny (see photos). I put a lot of pictures to show the table from all angles. The protective pads above the tabletop to protect the glass are in perfect condition. This vintage table with an industrial or design look is stable, solid ( the top is 11 kgs and the foot 7 kgs will be perfect for any interior both retro and contemporary.
