About this vintage design furniture
Malacca and rattan Armchair designed by Gio Ponti and Lio Carminati and produced in Milan, Italy in the 1950s. This armchair it’s not restored and is in good used condition. Original patina. No flatting or other paints. Reference: Rivista dell’Arredamento (Furniture Magazine) n.56, 1959, page 44.

Gio PONTI
1891 - 1979Gio Ponti (1891-1979) was an Italian designer, architect, writer and teacher, considered one of the most influential designers of 20th-century Italy. Born in Milan, he studied architecture at Milan Polytechnic University and began working as an architect in 1921.
