About this vintage design furniture
This particular set was produced in the late 1930s by the Gottwald Company in Czechoslovakia. Gottwald has obtained a license from Thonet to sell chairs similar to the original Thonet K 411 chairs. The letter'K' represents Knoll, which collaborated in the design and manufacture of these chairs at its factory in Feurbach. This model is often attributed to the Dutch designer W.H. Gibsen, who designed a similar chair with different armrests. The author of these chairs is actually Walter Schneider, with the help of Paul Hahn.
