About this vintage design furniture
Pair of Antelope chairs designed by Ernest Race for the Festival of Britain in 1951. Both chairs are structurally sound but with obvious (and charming) wear. At some point there have been basic repairs and the seats repainted quite basically in the original Festival of Britain yellow. There is one ’foot’ missing on one of the chairs.
