About this vintage design furniture

This green-blue vase, created by Italian ceramist Gabriele Bicchioni in the 1930s, is distinguished by its imposing size and Art Deco style. With its flowing curves, this piece is a timeless testimony to the excellence of Deruta ceramics. Under Gabriele Bicchioni's skilful touch, majolica takes on an elegant form, embellished with shades of green-blue and flashes of gold, creating a work of great beauty. The Italian town of Deruta has been a benchmark for ceramic production for centuries. Renowned manufacturers such as Maioliche Deruta and collaborations with entities such as "C.I.M.A." (Consorzio Italiano Maiolino Deruta) have consolidated its reputation as one of the world's leading ceramics centers. The characteristic motifs of its pieces, the craftsmanship of its artisans and its commitment to preserving traditional techniques make Deruta a symbol of excellence in the ceramics industry. Gabriele Bicchioni (1905-1987) was an Italian ceramist and decorator. His remarkable work at the Maioliche Deruta factory in the 1920s, and his collaboration with the "C.I.M.A." (Consorzio Italiano Maiolino de Deruta) in the 1930s, contributed to the artistic evolution of ceramics, making him an emblematic figure in the profession. His creations, characterized by their elegance and fine metallic finishes, remain collector's items, some of which are on display at the Deruta Ceramics Museum in Italy. Reference : 308444
