Vintage oval extendable dining table by Edvar Valentinsen, Denmark 1960

Oval extendable dining table in teak by Danish designer Edvar Valentinsen. The design, of exquisite craftsmanship, is already a classic of Scandinavian design from the mid-20th century. It is built with a fun set of solid teak H-shaped legs. The tabletop, in teak veneer, is edged in solid wood of the same wood, playing with the turnings and miters around its perimeter. By sliding its sides, we discover two extensions inside. In this way, the table allows us to extend it up to 170cm or up to 215cm. Today, Edvard Valentin's creations are considered classic pieces of Scandinavian design and are exhibited in numerous museums and galleries around the world. It is in very good condition after having been restored and finished with two coats of colorless oil-wax. Reference : 303360
