About this vintage design furniture
A wonderful, rustic bench in highly recognizable design by Ate van Apeldoorn, manufactured by Houtwerk Hattem in the Netherlands around 1970.
Fully made of pine wood in rectangular shape with the top containing three slats. Standing in square shaped legs with beautiful corner connections, typical for the style and adding a wonderful detail to the piece and a real sign of quality. The natural pattern of the wood remain clearly visible and it has a nice, light and warm brown colour.

Each piece remains in very good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina!

About the designer
Ate VAN APELDOORN
Ate van Apeldoorn was a Dutch furniture designer and manufacturer, born in 1932 and died in 2007. He studied at the Arnhem Academy of Fine Arts and began his career working for the architectural firm Van den Broek & Bakema.
