Mid-century Modern Danish Rosewood Bookcase by Kai Winding, 1960s.
Elegant and beautiful Scandinavian Modern bookcase designed by Danish architect Kai Winding for Hundevad and Co. Denmark in the 1960s.
Five adjustable shelves and four small drawers. Hole with plug in backing for Hifi or lamp cords. Recently fitted with four round tapered legs in solid Nordic ashwood.
Exquisite and expressive and warm Rosewood veneer.
Very good condition. Cleaned and treated with clear rosewood oil. Ready for use.

About the designer
Kaj WINDING
Kaj Winding was a Danish designer who was born in 1926 and died in 1965 at the age of 39. He began his industrial design career working for Danish companies Verner Panton and Arne Jacobsen. In 1958, he co-founded Design-Craftsmen, which produced modern furniture for Danish and Scandinavian interiors.
