Tall Mid-Century Modern ceramic table lamp model 1023 by Einar Johansen for Soholm
This table lamp was designed by Einar Johansen and produced by Soholm Stentoj in Denmark in the 1960s. Gorgeous glazing in different colors ranging from brown to light blue. The base features a graphic relief. The lamp has been rewired with switch and has a new socket and shade. New European wiring and plugs.
Base measures 47 cm height and 17 cm diameter.
Søholm was founded in 1835, in Rønne, Bornholm which is famous for its pottery and fine ceramics, making it one of the oldest ceramic factories on Bornholm, until its closure in 1996.
Danish ceramic artist, Einar Johansen was employed at Søholm from 1958-1966. He designed and created a wide range of stoneware, where his “blue series” is highly sought after today among collectors.

Einar JOHANSEN
Einar Hoffmann Johansen (1905-1992) was a Norwegian industrial designer. He is best known for his work in the 1950s and 1960s for the Norum company, where he designed numerous products, including televisions and radios.
