About this vintage design furniture
Vintage Danish teak wall unit by Poul Cadovius for Cado, 1960s. Mid-Century Modern 1 bay shelving system model Royal. This is a original vintage floating bookcase designed in 1948 by Danish architect Poul Cadovius. The Royal System shelving unit went on to win the gold medal at the Finland Furniture Fair in 1950 and silver medal at the XI Triennale di Milano 1957 and remained a hallmark of Scandinavian modern design throughout the 1950s and ‘60s. Versatile and flexible floating bookcase that allows for continuous rearranging the shelves to suit individual needs. This set consists of: 2 Uprights, length 149 cm 1 Shelf, 30 x 80 cm 4 Shelves, 20 x 80 cm Stamped "Made in Denmark" on the back. Patinated brass brackets.
