About this vintage design furniture
For sale is a pair of original and iconic mid-century golden age "Pistillino" sconces or ceiling lights designed by Studio Tetrarch for Valenti Luce, Italy, dating from the 1960s.This classic Italian modernist plastic consists of a centrally mounted gold mirror bulb surrounded by 28 arms mounted on reflective balls, which not only reflect the light but cast wonderful ray-like shadows on the wall or ceiling. The bulbs show marks and wear, consistent with over 50 years of age and use, and the gold has faded in places, but nothing too distracting and they still look great (see photos).
