About this vintage design furniture
Set of 2 original Akari table lamps. Designed by Isamu Noguchi. The shades are 30cm ø and are made from ultra thin washi paper on a bamboo frame. They are mounted on BB1 stands. The stands are made from bamboo and cast iron. The shades have the original stamp and the bases are marked with "Made in Japan". One of the shades has two small tears on the base. Hardly noticeable. Almost impossible to find another matching 1950s set in this condition. A true classic and collectors item.
