About this vintage design furniture
This stool was designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll International in the United States in the 1950s. "Eero Saarinen vowed to tackle the ugly, confused and restless world he observed underneath chairs and tables - the so-called "slum of the legs". A five-year design investigation led him to the revolutionary pedestal collection, including the Tulip stool, introduced in 1958." It has a cast aluminum base painted white and has been reupholstered with a new synthetic sheepskin. In good vintage condition.
