About this vintage design furniture
The Penta suspension lamp is more traditional and rounded in shape than most other Hammerborg models of the time. This lamp is often confused with Poul Henningsen's PH 43, which it resembles - in number of shades and diameter - but the curved shades of the Penta make it stand out. The large central shadow gently guides the emitted light downwards and the curved inner shadows provide almost glare-free light. The open top creates beautiful circles of light up to the ceiling, ensuring good room lighting. Produced in 1965 by Fog & Mørup in three different colours - red, blue and light grey. This one is matt lead-grey and in good condition. Some scratches on the tint as seen on the pictures but it is straight and firm and without bumps. This is not a thin metal lamp like many others of the time. It is a heavy construction from Fog & Mrøup that can take a beating. Standard E27 bulb socket.
