About this vintage design furniture
Set of 4 vintage black chairs designed by Jean-Claude Mahey and edited by la maison Romeo Paris in the mid-1970s. The Asian-inspired black lacquered wooden structure is typical of the production of Mahey. The foundations and records have been re-hung with a confusing black Jacquard fabric beige and gold by the Italian Publisher DEDAR - reference Chérie.

About the designer
Jean-Claude MAHEY
Mahey is a French designer born in Paris in 1937. He studied at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs in Paris and began his career working for designer Jacques Adnet. He then opened his own design studio in 1968.
