About this vintage design furniture
Large wall lamp by René Mathieu for Lunel France, 1950s. Double articulated arm with swivel at the base of the lamp part, in brass and black metal. Lampshade in vinyl strips. Luminaire is in very good condition, shows marks of time. Electricity of functional origin.Dimensions : L.126 cm (arm unfolded), shade ø 50 cm

About the designer
René MATHIEU
René Mathieu was a French designer born in Nancy in 1905 and died in 1969. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Nancy before moving to Paris to work as a theater decorator. He also worked for Galeries Lafayette, where he was responsible for creating window displays and exhibition stands.
