About this vintage design furniture
Rare and superb neoclassical flat desk of Louis XVI inspiration in black varnished mahogany and cognac leather stamped Maurice Hirsch dating from the early 60s. Fine wooden legs with brass sabots, black varnished, of Louis XVI inspiration, all the typical attributes of the neoclassical style of the decorator Maurice Hirsch are present. This desk opens with two drawers in the belt. The top is covered with original cognac leather and has a very nice patina. This desk has been entirely restored and re-varnished, brass cleaned, and is in superb condition. A rare piece, timeless and of a very nice quality of manufacture.
