Vintage desk by Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard Nielsen for Soborg Mobelfabric, Denmark 1950

A fantastic quality desk designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard Nielsen, manufactured by Soborg Mobelfabrik in Denmark around 1950. The piece stands on a black lacquered metal base and is made of high quality tropical hardwood in a nice, warm brown colour which adds really nicely to it’s luxurious yet modern style. It has a drawer unit with one black and one white laminated door, opening and closing smoothly and reveling several storage compartments. The fantastic finish, quality materials and nice contrast between colours all add to the elegant and eye-catching appeal of this wonderful desk. It would be a truly valuable addition to the office space or interior! It remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
