Description:This charming dining set was designed and manufactured by Ercol, one of the UK's furniture manufacturing giants.Like all Ercol furniture, this set features a superb design and was manufactured to a high standard. The highly sought after sliding leg dining table model 445 was one of Ercolion's most ingenious designs, seating up to ten people comfortably. The tabletop is composed of two sections that extend through the telescoping action of the lower rails of each section. The center support leg slides to one end of the table (away from the seated person's feet) when the table is in the closed position. Extended or closed, it has a bolt lock for total rigidity. The two folding center sheets are stored under the table top when not in use. The set comes with four Quaker 365 chairs and two Quaker 365A Windsor armchairs. A charming variation on the traditional Windsor theme. The classic simplicity of the high curved back has a special appeal, like everything Ercol does: simply brilliant design and fantastic craftsmanship. Part of the Windsor range, originally designed by Lucian Ercolani, an Italian designer, and manufactured in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, Ercol furniture is synonymous with good design, quality materials, craftsmanship and longevity.
