About this vintage design furniture
A stunning piece of vintage and mid century furniture in a tallboy by G plan furniture. The chest of drawers consists of two drawers with each one having superb dove tail jointing and offering excellent storage, within the top drawer there are teak dividers that help to form separate storage compartments, to each of the drawer fronts there are two oak pull handles. Below the drawers there are two oak doors with each one having a single oak pull handle, within the cupboard doors there is a large storage area with a single shelf inside. The chest of drawers has been hand crafted by G Plan furniture and has the gold embossed E Gomme logo within the inside of the door, the cabinet comes from their Brandon range released in 1953 and designed by Victor Bramwell Wilkins. The cabinet is a stunning and genuine piece of vintage and mid century furniture that looks amazing with a wonderful look and styling that would suit any home or environment Dimensions W 30 Inches D 18 Inches H 36 Inches Condition The chest is in superb condition and has been lovingly restored, sanded back to the original wood then French polished and waxed to help preserve the beautiful light colour.

Charles Victor Wilkins (1893-1969) was an American industrial designer known for his work in the 1920s and 1930s. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and studied at the Art Students League of New York and the New York School of Fine and Applied Art.
