Vintage Brutalist candlestick, 1960
About this vintage design furniture
Rare and unusual mid-century modern sculptural wall candle holder. It dates from the late 1960s, and is a true work of brutalist art. It is made of metal cut with a blowtorch. The metal has a beautiful torch-cut texture. It is a visually stunning piece, and quite unusual. It is in line with the sculptures and pieces of Tom Greene, as well as Silas Seandel. It fits in with a variety of aesthetics ranging from mid-century modern art to Danish modern art, brutalist, industrial, Hollywood Regency, and contemporary art.
