About this vintage design furniture
Everest Teak Sideboard Eye-catching teak mid-century British-made sideboard. At 222cm (7 foot) long, the sideboard has wooden trumpet door pulls and a fantastic teak wood grain throughout. Dating back to the 1960s, and was sold in the iconic furniture store, Heals of London. A quality made, rarely found item. The sideboard’s two cupboards have internal shelves and three generous drawers for excellent storage capability. Everest was a small British company making stylish furniture in the 1960s sold to stores such as Heals of London and Chapmans of Newcastle. The company was initially known for its upholstery. It supplied furniture for the first classrooms on the Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth liners. It began the production of domestic wooden furniture post the Second World War. Condition report: Excellent original condition, and sympathetically refinished.
