About this vintage design furniture

Gispen coffee table model 3651 designed by Coen de Vries for Gispen in 1967. This table is still in very good and original condition. The square legs are chrome plated, the connecting lines are made of iron (black) and the leaf is in afromosia wood also named African teak. Source: Gispen Foundation, Gispen Furniture Catalog 1968-69, page 21-22. Dimensions: h x b x d 40 x 120 x 64 cm.

Coen de Vries was a Dutch industrial designer, born in 1918 and died in 2004. He studied at the Amsterdam School of Arts and Crafts and worked for various design companies, including Gispen, Spectrum and Pilastro.
