Pair of vintage chairs from Meredew Furniture, UK 1960s

Set of two chairs by the English furniture firm Meredew in afrormosia wood, also known as African teak. Pure Mid Century design with turned tapered legs reinforced with thin crossbars between legs. The backrest extends from the two back legs and is finished with four bars at the top. They have been re-upholstered in beige herringbone cotton fabric. They are in perfect condition, as the wood has been restored and finished with teak oil to guarantee its durability and waterproofing.
