About this vintage design furniture
Hillestak" dining table designed by Robin Day in the 1950s for Hille, UK. The table has beech compass legs and a laminated plywood top. Offered as a low-cost piece of furniture and inspired by the plywood work of Aalto and Eames, Robin Day's Hillestak table proved to be one of Hille's early successes. The table can also be used as a desk. The heavy wear marks show that it has been used for many years, but it can still be used for many years. The laminate is damaged in one corner, as shown in the photos.
