Matt finish. Suitable for outdoor use The Panton Chair is a classic in the history of furniture. Designed by Verner Panton in 1960, the chair was developed for mass production in collaboration with Vitra (1967). It was the first plastic chair to be moulded in one piece. Since its introduction, it has gone through several stages of production. It has only been possible to produce the chair in accordance with its original design since 1999 - made of durable, coloured plastic with a matt finish, the cantilever frame combined with a shape adapted to the body and a soft material give the chair a high degree of seating comfort. The Panton Chair has won numerous international design awards and is now part of the permanent collections of many famous museums. Its expressive shape has made it one of the icons of 20th century design .
