About this vintage design furniture
An absolute classic and a rare design icon. From the mid-1950s to around 1962, Geotg Leowald worked as an architect and furniture designer for Wilkhahn Möbelwerke. This chair is very rare and difficult to find. The design is characterized by the graceful backrest with two rungs and the strong seat with wickerwork. The set consists of four chairs. Some rungs of the backrest have been renewed by the restorer. All seats were restored and provided with new wickerwork. We have left some traces of use due to the patina. The wickerwork is light. It darkens with time and produces a beautiful patina. This chair is not often found in its design. On the contrary, the offer is rare. Design: Hartmut Lohmeyer Manufacturer: Wilkhahn Möbelwerke, Germany Origin: Germany Time: 1958 - 1968 Material: wood, wickerwork Condition: Good used condition. Due to age and use, there are marks and traces of shoes on the legs of the chair. The wickerwork was renewed. Dimensions: height: 85 cm, width: 45.5 cm, depth: 47 cm, seat height: 43 cm Markingsignature: not available; sufficiently known from literature The article comes from an animal-free non-smoking household. The photos are part of the description.
