About this vintage design furniture
Set of 4 vintage chairs by Wim Rietveld launched in 1953 for the Dutch publisher Gispen. The frame is made of solid round steel. The seat and backrest are made of curved birch plywood. The wood and metal are connected by rubber discs, so that the heads of the screws are never visible. All seats and backrests have been completely renovated in our workshop. The model was produced between 1953 and 1970. Model 216 was renamed to Model 1245 in 1959.
