About this vintage design furniture
1940s Danish wing back lounge chair by Alfred Christensen for Slagelse Møbelfabrik in original green tweed fabric. The chair is very comfortable and in lovely condition apart from a small bit of damage to the tweed on the seat (see images). Seat height 40cm.

About the designer
Alfred CHRISTENSEN
Alfred Christensen (1903-1980) was an American industrial designer best known for his work for the Knoll furniture company in the 1940s and 1950s. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
