About this vintage design furniture
Desk of the postwar Dutch interior architect and designer C. de Vries. This desk has a floating top made of rosewood. This top is resting on a black lacquered metal frame. Under the table top are two blocks mounted in the frame, each with three drawers and on one side a small retractable utensils drawer. The lock is in working order. Some discoloring on tabletop and small veneer repair

About the designer
Coen DE VRIES
Coen de Vries was a Dutch industrial designer, born in 1918 and died in 2004. He studied at the Amsterdam School of Arts and Crafts and worked for various design companies, including Gispen, Spectrum and Pilastro.
