Nils Kähler began his career as an apprentice with Herman A. Kähler, the famous family ceramics business, where he learned the skills needed to become a master ceramist. He later studied sculpture and ceramics at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen.
In the 1930s, Nils Kähler began working for the Kähler company as a designer and production manager. He created numerous pieces for the company, including vases, dishes and sculptures. His creations quickly became renowned for their elegance and quality.
Over the years, Nils Kähler has continued to work for Kähler, but has also collaborated with other Danish design companies. His work has been exhibited in museums around the world and has won many prestigious awards.
