About this vintage design furniture
These wingback chairs have highly a prized design, designed in the 1960´s by Miroslav Navratil and Magda Sepová. The armchair has a subtle construction, yet it fits comfortably. With metal frames and an enveloping form, these chairs combine the classic wingback feature with a modern ergonomic feel.. The fiberglass skeleton is upholstered and set on a metal base – a novoretro classic – an icon, a chair comparable to any of the best foreign production of the time.
Miroslav Navrátil (1913-1999) is one of the most prominent designers in Czechoslovak history. With an emphasis on functionality, he is most famous for his Vertex chair which epitomised Czech socialist design.
The chairs are in very good Vintage condition, shows slight signs of age and use.
