About this vintage design furniture
Armchairs by Marcel Breuer model S64 Italy, from 1990. In the late twenties Mart Stam was a guest lecturer at the Bauhaus ('28 and '29) where Marcel Breuer was "inspired" by the designs of Mart Stam. Marcel had better connections and was more market-oriented, which is why he was wrongly considered the inventor of the cantilever chair for a long time. These design chairs are still made by the Thonet company. They are made of beech wood with Viennese wickerwork and marked on the bottom with Made in Italy with the numbers 06 and 90.
