About this vintage design furniture
The brass Kastor lamp by Jo Hammerborg from 1963. Excellent quality, solid brass.
When lit, the lamp provides a soft, non-glare downlight, making it ideal for low hanging, and the shiny surface captures and reflects the contours of the surrounding space.
One of several themes that ran through Jo Hammerborg's work at Fog & Mørup in the 1960s was that lamps were often made from three different metals - copper, brass and aluminium.

The lamp is in very good condition for its age. It has natural traces of use, minor scratches,
The lamp has been thoroughly cleaned, the cable has been replaced with a new, braided one. The lamp comes with a new, metal ceiling canopy.
